With a calm yet unwavering voice, Cora broke the silence. “I wouldn’t dream of it, but you know a woman has to take extra care when she is about to meet her future in-laws.”

I turned toward the door and all thoughts of the man before me vanished. She entered the room with grace, captivating everyone around with a presence that was simply otherworldly. Her beauty transcended mere physicality, radiating from within like a mesmerizing aura.

My breath caught in my throat as she walked toward me in the evening dress I had carefully chosen for her. Its fabric clung to her curves, accentuating every graceful line of her body, and the way it clung to her hips and elegantly fell to the floor highlighted her charm, casting a spell on anyone who dared to lay eyes upon her, me included. The color, a vibrant shade of blue, contrasted beautifully against her pale skin and blond hair, enhancing her ethereal beauty.

As I watched her, my heart quickened its pace, and as she stopped before me, radiating confidence and allure, I couldn’t help but be genuinely captivated by her presence. The dress had been tailor-made for her, and its plunging neckline revealed just enough to leave me longing for more, while its flowing silhouette hinted at the hidden depths of her femininity that I was dying to explore with my hands, my mouth… my tongue.

Her eyes sparkled with a mixture of excitement and mischief as she grabbed my hand and intertwined her fingers with mine, her touch gentle yet firm. It was a simple gesture, one that spoke volumes without the need for words.

As her small hand nestled in mine, a wave of warmth, care, and tenderness that had long been dormant washed over me. The sensation was both exhilarating and disarming. I had become accustomed to a life of loneliness and self-reliance and her support was everything.

She turned toward my glaring grandfather. I assumed he wasn’t used to not being the center of attention in a room.

“You must be Ayaan’s grandfather?” she said with a jovial smile as she extended her free hand to shake his.
